Parvin Arefi an astrologer, engineer and author is presently living in Mission Viejo, California. She has traveled extensively in Southern Iran and has long been fascinated by Gabbeh collecting and studying hundreds over the years.

She has exported hundreds of Gabbeh rugs from south Persia woven by Quashqaie or Lori Tribes to Switzerland and Los Angeles for famous GABBEH Collectors.

Parvin was first introduced to Gabbeh as abstract tribal rug first in Los Angles by an rug dealer and scholar (she was mentioned as research associate in Iran in HALI - The International Journal of Oriental Carpet and Textile - Vol. 5 - Number 4 - 1983).

This publication was the first to publish a technical article about GEORGES D. BORNET COLLECTION of GABBEH written by D.W. Martin.

This volume also contains an article about Gabbeh by Parviz Tanavoli, The well known Iranian collector and author of Persian tribal rugs books, as well as LION RUGS FROM FARS.

She now has many old and antique lion Gabbeh's in her collection for sale in today's market, as well as other geometric and figural design Gabbeh rugs.

Her collection has been collected directly from Quashqaie or Lori tribes of the Fars province of Iran .

Our Gabbeh's are unique, rare and one of a kind in many cases, which have been collected since the 1980's by our expert team members.

We do not carry Gabbeh's made in India, Pakistan, or Afghanistan. We only carry and sale Persian Gabbeh rugs.

Our Gabbeh's are not commercially woven for the export market, but are original tribal art woven for their daily use.

We believe these carpets are the last objects of original woven art coming from Persia, therefore have collectable value.

Since they are collected directly from the tribes, as well as Shiraz Carpet Market, they are priced reasonably and according to design, uniqueness, wool quality and weave.
